Hello all,

I've been super busy so I haven't been able to work on my car. Got some ideas for it while I'm not doing anything to it. I tried to search for the answer to my qestion but It didn't help.

What does the PVC valve do? is it nessesary? I've seen some people run with out hooking it up.

I'll post some pic of my car's progress in a bit

PCV is positive crankcase ventilation, it allows exaust gasses that get past the rings to escape, usually routes it back into the intake, which I highly recomend replacing it with a catch can before you cook a valve from buildup as only 4 of your intake valves are cleaned by fuel, the other 4 will get covered in crap which could break off and cause your valve not to seal... happened to me...

Yes, you need to hook up the PCV valve. There was a BIG post on this topic about a month ago. I don't have the time to search for it, but I highly reccomend finding it. I posted some various ways of routing the lines so that it would work properly and only use one catch can. Regardless, still use Seafoam often as Rico said. That stuff rules! I've SEEN the difference it makes before and after. It's amazing.
