This should get you started. The plenum has to be removed to replace the harness, but some harness connectors can be accessed individually to clean and apply dielectric grease.

Fantastic link with excellent photo's and verbiage.

Can you comment on the commonality of this procedure to a FY33 Q? i.e. is the process similar?

One thing I've never been quite clear on is: Does the plenum need to be removed to ohm the injectors?

I can't seem to find a definitive answer and I can't see the plenum in the pictures. But the pictures could have been taken because the plenum was removed for a different reason. I'd just like to be sure.

Through the harness, no. Dierectly, yes.

But your timing chain guides should be a much greater concern.

How true. However, I was asking for future reference. No harm in being prepared and thinking about the near future right?

The purists will tell you that the plenum must be removed to accurately ohm the injectors (and KS) but ohming at the connector will get you darn close. If you got a 0 reading you would have to suspect a problem with the harness (open injector harness code?).

It takes about 5 minutes to ohm the FI and KS and the best part is it's an easy DIY and it's free. The connectors you're looking for will be at the passenger side end of the plenum almost on top of the valve cover- you can't miss 'em and you do not have to remove the plenum.
