and your wheels look horrid and sunk. who CARES if they are volk?, i dont. end of story here
s13 iDRIFT wrote:i would deff not get those, just get some of those sportmax 962s, and just get some used tires,

i did and my total cost was round 600 or a little more, and the used tires have like perfect tread! and you can get the 17x9 or whatever i size you want! just please dont get those, they are hideous!
YAY SPORTMAX 962's! hooray. JUST like everyone else. looking JUST as bad. and tires that "have like perfect tread" dont come around too often, valley girl.
simmode1 wrote:Those are some highly unattractive wheels there, sir.

Plus, when was the last time you went shopping for 16 inch diameter tires? Your choices are going to be extremely limited for such a wide wheel.

But if you want 16x9+15's, they sell these in 4 lug at Enjuku now:
those pieces of trash enjuku is selling for what, 200 a piece? they look TERRIBLE. everyone and their mother is orgasming over them, but they are by and far some of the worst looking wheels ive seen. they try to be oldschool looking, but are too lame to pull that off.

get off ken @ enjuku's nuts. he's a legit guy, but his latest spewing of gray market stuff has me wondering where that company is going... i mean, come on, closing their race division? the thing that GOT that company where it is....

mark, get these. be different. i have confidence it will look sick.

im surprised nico didnt tell you to remove your coils and put stock struts on, and not modify your car. im also surprised noone here offered you mad cash for that set of killer 17x7 konigs, cus they "dont care if its sunk, its just a daily"

this place frustrates me.

Its called 285-40-17's, you know, something that makes a car hook and go. Maybe you don't know much about about that? Rolled lip, 9inch +35 wheel, 285's are a prefect match for my function.

I agree that they're a bit pricey, and I'm not into 16 inch wheels either. But some ppl here like to be helpful on occasion and offer help/input regarding the original post.

im helpful when its needed. thats why i told him to buy them. and helped him fix his crank seal today, helped with his last 5 spd conversion, etc. i help in real life, unlike everyone here with their search overloaded info-orgasm.

sorry, this thread is not about tire sizes. if it was, id let you know that i have 245/45/17's rt615's on 17x9.5 +15mm wheels, for grip. its no 1/4 queen.

i have more suspension/driveline work then you assume i do. enjoy your cheap volks sir. ill enjoy my brand new wheels and tires that FIT and GRIP for $750.

granted mark ASKED for opinions, and got em. but god forbid someone would want non cookie cutter wheels.

i come on here hoping that NICO will be as good as it was 2-3 years ago, with real information and people not afraid or criticized to make a unique car.

Lancaster crew in da house, huh?

Well, the name of the thread is 'What does nico think of these wheels?'. Strong opinions were given for an opinionated question. There's no need to get riled up because more ppl don't share your view in this regard.

and hell yeah, lanc crew is here. we are half of nico's build threads right now, and some of the rare few doing real work to our cars.

to the OP no they will look stupid/ they would look good on foxbody or something.

and greeneyes i think thats a bit harsh; OutToWin's car is a quality build. sure the wheels aren't hella flush. but hes putting down some serious power and needs the grip.

I would get them and paint them if it were me,black with a polished lip or something, and when the tires went bad id get some with a higher profile/section height. They're not getting played out like every other rim in the world.

I find it funny when ppl say a wheel is getting played out (hell, I've said it myself). I think many of us believe a wheel becomes played out because we are often on forums, looking at build threads and gaining the internet equivalent of 'book smarts' as MrGreeneyes hinted at.

My reality is that it is very rare to see a local car with any of the wheels that we consider played out. I've only seen 2 cars with 962's and those two sightings were separated by a year and a half and thats the most played out wheel there is... Even on Honda's, I've only seen one set of D2's. I don't really notice any flood of ppl using the same wheels locally.

Edit: Wait... except for RPF1's... Those f**kers are everywhere...

FN's are the most played out wheel on a s-chassis and I would still rock those over what the OP posted.....I take it you will be mounting drag radials on them as well?
