What does it take to get that radical cam lope in a Ka24DET?

Yet be streetable for everyday driving? I know what does and doesnt work on Hondas And Mazdas. I just want to be sure cause I dont want my ride to be a joke.

To get cam lope, you need to have a pretty big overlap. It doesn't really make the head flow any better on an KA24DE. They're pretty good flowing heads to start out with. Most likely you'd need a custom cam grind, as I don't think any commercially available cams get a lot of lope.

you dont want overlap for turbo cars...you do for n/a power though.

You could get a pretty nice lope from 272 cams, but you'd probably need valve springs and plenty of other things to make them work safely.

That's not true. Big cams can be used in turbo cars as long as you use cam gears to dial out the overlap.
