what does a wideband gauge do?

I wanted to no what a wideband 02 gauge did? Some had suggested it to me to put in my car because im turboing it so if you could explain what it does that would be great thanks.

Google will tell you. If give you a readout of the air fuel ratio aka air fuel mix in a wider range over narrow band.
