What do you use to keep trunk items from rolling around?

Just picked up a 2005 Nissan Murano and it has a plasticy tray in the trunk. I really like it, but it allows groceries to slide around too easily. I picked up a cargo net for the back, but that just helps a little. Doesn't help when there are a lot of bags back there.

I started looking at other ways to secure bags of groceries and looked at the gaps in the toneau cover brace.


I thought it would be really cool to install some kind of hooks onto the crossbar where the material leaves gaps.



Anyone ever try anything like that? Anyone seen some kind of hooks that are really low profile on one side and have a hook on the other so that it doesn't slice the bag open. Something like this is what I was thinking.
