Just curious. I've always been a Kenwood fan. Do you think one is better than the other? Any brands to stay away from? I'm looking at several head units and can't decide which to go with. Like I said, I've always went with Kenwood in other vehicles. But there are so many other choices now. I know I want a USB, aux, and sat radio.

I've had em all so can't really pick a favorite, just always look for a good name-brand and best overall value/style at the time.

ive had aiwa, jvc, panasonic. currently have a pioneer and no complaints so far! http://www.amazon.com/Pioneer-...r=8-8

a good double-din is the way to go with a versa i'd say, don't need any dash kit or anything just mount it on the existing brackets.

Sorry bub, this question is very subjective and simply cannot be answered via a poll.....

I've always liked Pioneer decks for the best combination of looks (not flashy, at least the double-dins), sound quality, features, and price.

That's subjective to your needs and likings so it's kind of difficult to really answer something like that. I've had: Pioneer, JVC, Panasonic, Dual and now I have an Eclipse unit. At the end of the day it comes down to liking, and features mostly. Let's compare two units for example. I wanted Pioneer AVIC F90BT which seemed to be a good unit, I did my review and it came up short. Something along the same calibre and price range was the Eclipse AVN726E which I ended up getting instead. It's basically like buying anything else which comes down to a few factors: how much you're willing to spend and what you think will work best for you.

i have a pioneer that i got for christmas, its ok for what it is.... i think my wife paid a total of like $145 for it.... but its better than stock.... and plus it has an ipod cord which will charge an ipod and not an iphone... it also has an MP3 jack and is sirius or XM ready ( i forget which one, maybe both) and it also has a remote which is really nice.....

I think XM and Sirius merged together.

I like Alpine personally. Broadfield is a NICO advertiser and can get you a good deal. Check his thread in the advertiser deals forum.

I LOVE my new Alpine. one vote for them.

iPod, Bluetooth, USB (2.0),imprint, satellite and HD radio. However all the add-ons will kill your budget.

Sourcing a nice box and sub next

Be careful with which order you plug in a Pioneer deck, they have pico fuses that blow very easily internally and then cause static noise.
