turbotruck, what are your plans for the intercooler? how buig will fit? and where are you going to put it? i mean, it does matter where you put the darn thing right, or is it as long as you have air flow from the fans behind the radiator it will be fine?

this has been the only thing holding me back from doing a turbo in my '93

I can make another kit, Price would be around $1850 shipped, There are no fuel system upgrades needed at 7 lbs, and it is a direct bolt on.

Yes, thats what i'm telling you.. Stock to the wheels your truck will put down about 85-90, boosted it will put down 160 to 170 to the wheels.. So whats up you want a kit?

Not to be an A-hole but man it really seems you are tryin to sell jetblack this kit .........Just Skeptical to many horror stories I guess. But a sweet deal none the less, I also would be interested in this setup if all is legit.

i am not trying to start anything. i think that truck ROCKS!

but...1 bar of pressure(~14.7psi) at 100% efficiency would double the hp at the flywheel. you wont see 100% efficiency with any turbo and air-to-air intercooler setup. to get 100% you would need one bad water-to-air and a fancy pants turbo. on the other side you are talking whp and drivetrain loss(by percentage) goes down as the power goes up. still all in all i think a non intercooled hardbody on 7psi should be in the 160whp range with a good efficient turbo(guess off the top of my head). this would be a nice improvement considering the stock output of like 130hp or so and the small investment.

How much boost, what kind of fuel/engine management changes did you have to make??I have a 98 frontier 4x4 with ka24de.... found lots of turbo kits for the altima's 240sx... nothing for the Frontier....

looks like I will have to modify a top mount t3-t4 xs power turbo kit I bought used (.42 and .50 AR)...but the down pipe looks like its going to require a lot of mod work.... seems to be the missing piece that different between the altima's etc and the trucks...Also, did I hear you were running 7psi boost??? thats about what I'm looking to do... hought I say a posting where it was believed tha t factory ECU can handle the change... sounds nice but I'm skeptical... I 've been looking at a greddy piggy back unit that can add =/- 20 percent fuel at 5 rpm points....I am looking primary for more torque (ok, hp too) from somewhere around 2500rpm to 4500 rpm.... I have usually shifted by 4,00 t0 4,500...hey, its a 4wd truck after all...

any idea/comments let me know.

Thanks, Bill
