the guy i got this car from said it was rebuilt, and i didnt believe him. i took the valve cover off to replace the gasket and saw this. what do you think? the speedo reads 240,xxx. i havent started the car today but i have taken this off before looked just the same. i just wanna know if you think its rebuilt or just well taken care of.

that is an aftermarket cam gear so i would say that it have been redone, put look at the complete lack of sludge/orange staining on the aluminum, it has atleast been cleaned.
