How much power would this engine have to the wheels???

-balanced crank-Nismo street cams-nismo pistons, 11.5:1 compression-nismo adjustable timing gear-titanium valve spring retainers.-5 angle valve grind -ported and polished head-shaved head-balanced injectors-hi flow oil pump

This is a ka24e engine.

with that without upgraded valves you're looking at about 198hp.Larger valves (overlapping) will get you to about 212 on that assembly.

The 200hp KA is just that simple :)

from what i hear you need the nismo rods to go with those; the pin isn't in the stock location. just noticed that wasn't on your list.

For the SOHC as well?

I am still debating now if I should turbo my KA or just build it up NA.

I think NA would be more enjoyable, I did the custom turbo thing on my Focus, it was fun, but I want a nice NA motor.

I was going to go with the DE, but then you have to go through the pain of the engine swap with wiring and all that.

If the above work can be done to the SOHC, and ~200whp is available with all the supporting mods, I would go that route.

I would do the ITB's, the only thing I don't know is would I need standalone? I guess if I make a plenum to put on the ITB's, I could still run the MAF.

Any thoughts on my Idea?

Can 200whp be done with a built SOHC?

yes, 200 rwhp can be done. And you may find that a standalone system is much easier to tune than a VAFC on a high compression 4 cylinder.

is it goin to be a daily driver? if it is it might not be too streetable. maybe just with the DE's with aggressive cams that overlap cause bad idles
