I'm new to the 300zx and am looking to get one. There is one by me for sale. It is a '90, 5-speed, non turbo. Its going for $2k but does not get a spark. The guy said it would start sometimes and not the other. He thinks its the computer but I would like to here from you guys that know these cars. What do you think it is? Should I get it and fix it or not.

well, it's hard to go wrong for $2k if it's a decent chassis, the NA engines go for $500-1000, and TT front cuts can be had for $2500, as for the lack of spark, the coil pack harness is known to go bad and there is a little ignition control unit in the front of the passanger side cams, also it won't spark if the CAS on the crivers side cams is bad

^ I agree. If its clean its easily worth 2 grand as a project. Also, he seems to be pretty much on target with where to start looking for problems.
