What do you think of this setup??

I'm thinking about getting a hotshot header and getting a 2.5" exhaust from the header back. I won't be running a cat and not sure on the muffler yet. But I'm having the pipe bent for me and doing the welding myself. What mufflers would your recommend and would I lose any power from this setup or gain a little? I have a KA24DE.

Sounds like a good setup.

I hope you aren't planning on driving it on the street though. It's not fair to have civilians die of cancer because of your hydrocarbons..

Another thing: is the guy who's bending the pipes using a mandrel bender? Mandrel bends are the best. If you're going all-out(i.e: losing the cat..), I'd also recommend getting a mandrel bent catback.

You'll probably gain performance across the board, but don't be surprised if you lose some power down low.

As for the mufflers... generally, performance mufflers are all the same. The exhaust tone is what differentiates them.
