I have a chance to trade a pc for a set of these Konig wheels and tires. I'm curious how you all think they would look on my red vert? Right now it's 100% stock as far as wheels and suspension go and I'm trying to change that on my shoestring budget. On the other hand I'm a noob when it comes to after market wheels etc. I've found others I like but some people in the "wheels" forum talked me out of them 'cause they were "ugly". So I'm second guessing myself.

Please respond with your opinions as soon as possible 'cause I'm sure the deal won't last. Thanks.

Here's the pic...

They're 17x7.5 offset is 45. According to the Konig web site they will fit my car. So I'm more interested in opinions as to how they'll look? Whether they'd be an improvement? Are they stylish or passe? How they'll affect my car's handling and driveability? The intangibles if you will.

Here's a quick mock-up I just did in Photoshop. Although it may give a general idea, I don't think it does them justice. But it's late and I'm tired so that's it...

i think they look OK. they're not real crazy or anything, but they're definitly better than stock - and it sounds like a good deal. you'll definitely enjoy the wider wheel. my wider wheels have improved handling by leaps and bounds (as they do on most cars).

Very true. If you try to do suspension or brake upgrade later, they will give you a lot of headache. Just be patient and wait for the right rims. You should be able to find better looking rims for your vert...

why all the chrome if you go on ebay you can buy very nice wheel sets for 400- 800 and good offsets to. if you were 5 lug you would have a million options.

Ehh I don't think they'll look good on a vert. I would reccomend some Sportmaxes, Volks or, Motegis.

BTW Some Motegi Track Touges will look great on your vert...I was planning on getting them myself but I have no money right now.

I'm usually not that big on chrome but it's kind of grown on me. My oem's are chrome and I've come to like the way they look.

I know there's a bunch on ebay but due to some recent financial setbacks I'm on a tight budget and the difference between $250 and $600 is significant.

Inre the pics and suggestions you posted the only ones I really like are the last one (I think Motegi track Touges). The only issue I have with them is their popularity. It seems like everyone has them. I was hoping to find something nice, but unusual that you don't see too often, if that makes any sense. I don't know maybe I'm asking too much. Oh and though I do like gold and even bronze, I don't like the way they look on red cars and the same goes for black. So I'm limited to chrome, silver, or gun metal.

Thanks for all the input guys. Keep it coming.

its all up to you at the end of the day if you look at your car and you love it do it but make sure its what you want because they'll be yours and you have to look at them.

as for tight buget the way i see it your better off rolling around stock until you can buy what you want.

Love those Motegi Touges... Looking at something close to that for my car... Thinking of a stagger in 18's.. have to see how the money pans out... I'm working on trying to get my kids to give up eating.... whooo hooo and daddy can get some rims and tires.. lol.. (hmmm now if I could only get away with tying them to the tree in the back yard and I could save a bunch with no Day Care payment - hey I'm only kidding )
