Hey guys. Just wanted your opinion on my audio setup. I'm planning on getting it install professional since i have no clue what to do and no tools to do it. These are the thing im Planning on putting in.

-Alpine 7" In-Dash Double-DIN (IVA-W505)-Alpine Blackbird GPS(which goes inside the unit)-2 sets of Alpine 6 1/2" Components 2-Way Speakers (SPR-17S) with tweeters.-JBL GTO 4-Channel Amplifier (GTO1004)( guy told me this was the amp for speaker)-- And a ipod cable and other cables.

So what do you guys think. ill be putting a sub in a couple of months.

Thanks for all the help and thought guys,Jonathan

nice list! i have been using JBL GTO component speakers for almost 2 years now and i have nothing but good things to say about them.

personally, i think youre going to be lacking bass (for my taste) but itll still sound clear.

sweet! another gta member! thats a hell of an expensive install and you still wont even have subs...you must be a huge audiophile or you got lots of cash lmao it sounds good though. Its not that hard to install things yourself really, were all here to help you if you go that route, I had some issues installing my subs and everyone was more than helpful!

Fueler, can you send me your display pic? i dont have that one yet. as you know id like a tire/wheel upgrade and really look at yours for inspiration!

I got a install threw a family friend and it cost me $200 CDN. I think that's a great price since there was TONS of wiring needed and by passed my system with a switch:biggrin . I didnt want to install sub cause my SUV is giving me bad mileage. After I fix that issue im planing on putting in 2 15" JBL.

One more question. After putting in my Aftermarket deck the sound control on my steering wheel doesn't work. Did anyone get the same problem after installing there deck.

drop a sub in the back. it will make a huge difference in your sound quality.

You just get used to the noise man, cant really explain, I just need it in my music now lol. Ive got a lot of mid/highs to, with the car pretty deadenned, it sounds nice inside.

Bass gets turned way down though for my metal/rock songs and it still sounds just sick on the kicks and drums

I live that the op is amping his mids though, to many people dont, then cant keep up to the bass or sq at high levels

Omg 4 15's that's so much bass man. My moms already complaining about the speakers. I might just drop one bass or two depending on the space. I kinda need my space(family car). I record and put a vid on my system after im done everything.

Slick rogers Where did you buy your control module and Where did you buy the K&N air filter and how much was it.

i paid 320 total for the K&n shipping and everything.

but unless you want to make under your hood look prettier its not really worth it.

I like it, and it did make a little bit of a performance boost but not $300 worth.

Its a 50/50 cause i really like how it looks in the engine bay
