besides being incredibly ghetto lookin.it probably won't last very long at all.once the plastic heats up and the engine starts to torque on the mounts, all kinds of bad stuff is bound to happen.

Maybe I am not as insightful as others and the pics are kinda small but it looks fine to me.Doesnt look all that different from my Greddy FMIC.

I think that you'd be better off sticking with the stock SMIC and running 10psi.

Please do keep posting in this thread with your results. I'd like to know how much boost that plumbing pipe can handle before the joints start cracking.

he's using pvc fred;) the intercooler itself is fine...

I have to agree with everyone else, oh and heated pvc gives off a nasty residue that sticks to your valves and turbo vanes... I would highly recommend not using PVC in any part of a turbo setup!

Hey, I have that same ebay I/C. I didn't do the piping for it yet though. I was gonna do the "muffler shop" route myself. Something about PVC anywhere near an engine just screams "I spent the money on an SR but decided to cut corners everywhere else though" to me.

Anyways. I just got a larger intercooler and am selling my old one. I haven't even used it yet. I've got flyers up at the local speed shops for $225, but since you guys would have to worry about shipping, I'll let it go for $190. Hit me up if you're interested.
