Hello~~

I bought a volt condenser for my car, but i haven't installed it as yet.

It was like $15 so i don't care it works or not...but is it really waste of

money??

Care to tell us what's it's supposed to do? I'm going to vote "snake oil" but it's still fun to hear the claims

Condenser is an obsolete term used until the 70's for a capacitor.

How many microfarads is the question because we know the voltage [12-14]http://hyperphysics.phy-astr.g...ml#c2http://hyperphysics.phy-astr.g...ml#c2

Qtech- My home stereo 2 channel amplifier has 60,000 microfarads, is that alot? What if it had much more, or less- how would that affect its performance?

lol, i don't think qtech realizes that a physics explanation doesn't really put it into understandable measurments and uses. but once it clicks in the mind, it's very useful info. honestly.. just say you're lost, and hope for a layman's terms explanation.

yes, that will a a huge capacitorcapacitors have many uses, they can filter voltage ripples at certain frequency and introduce time delay. it all depends on the circuit that is using the cap.

as to VOLT condencer. i have NEVER can acrossed that during my 6+ year education in electrical engineering + 2 years working as a junior electronic engineer. maybe that is just a big capacitor (parallel of a lot of small ones)for filtering out voltage noise.

Or a blue box with some wires running through it that's made just pretty enough to part one with $15 on eBay

i really need to get to school for this stuff.i'm pretty good at picking things up, but it's always a mindcram to teach yourself stuff alone. that an i forget things that i'm sure schooling would help me remember correctly.
