I'd never seen a replica before now.. I'm intrigued, but I still think the urethane wins..

id imagine it'd break more easily than the urethane..i was thinking of maknig a s13 zenki lip out of fiberglass bc my urethane was cracked and all.. but yeah.. i'd imagine it'd shatter quiet easily

i wouldnt go with any fiberglass body work. if it shatters, there goes the rest of the money you would use to get the urethane one in the first place, and / or the full amount of the urethane one.

and now i know how mcch this lip is worth! well, supposedly 300, is that accurate? mine was on my car when i got it.

I would shatter that bad boy in a heart beat on a parking curb, sidewalk edge, etc. Thank god I have a urethane lip, do yourself a favor, avoid the pain of eventually shattering or cracking it, and go with urethane.

Yup, That'd be gone the second I left my driveway.

And yes, Its about 300 brand new from the dealer. Also people like to charge 200+ for them used because they hate me.

fiberglass has the distinct benifit of being easy to repair. urethane on the other hand, is not.

i personally prefer fiberglass for this reason.

i like it. if you hit things alot than no fiberglass. but try not to hit things it tends to be a bad idea

if you plan on buying it i would suggest to fill the back of it with great stuff foam. It will make it alittle stronger. And if it does crack it will hold the peices together if it is not hit that hard.Just spray foam it then shave off the extra with a knife to get it nice and flush. Then i would suggest painting the foam black or something. And if you really wanted to make it stronger i would suggest putting some extra fiberglass matting or tiger hair in spots where its most likely to crack on the inside before you put the foam in it.

I wouldnt want to risk it with fiberglass. nissanparts.org has them for $260ish.

it is really hard to damage fiberglass to the point where you can't repair it. curb scrapes dings and stuff is no problem at all. and as long as you have the major pieces you can put it back together again.

I remember you pointed this out to me a while back.. Lost the link- but I think you're right... $200 shipped vs. $300 shipped... "Super Black" paint isn't exactly cheap either.. I think urethane is the way to go, although I like the original idea.

there is no point to getting a fiberglass lip, when urethane is cheaper.i bought mine used and got it painted, cost me $160 in all.

the urethane lip doesnt weigh much, so its not like you are going to lose "performance".ahahaa
