After hearing good things about Lucas oil products from a friend, I started putting the "Upper Cylinder Lubricant (w/ inj. cleaners, and fuel conditioners)" in every other tank when I fill up. It makes more claims than "old west" snake oil medicine. I am also planning on adding Lucas products to my next oil change.

What's the general impression? Is this stuff rock solid, or just a waste of money?

Thanks.Craig

I'd be careful when adding any additives in fuel. Most gas today comes with plenty of detergents to clean valves/etc...adding extra generally isn't needed, especially on a new car.

I say don't use it.

Now Lucas oil and lubricants are good. Use them for your oil...or royal purple is another excellent choice.

In town we have a highly respected mechanic who owns his own shop. He was educated as engineer but because of his passion for diagnosing problems (not just replacing parts) and solving automotive problems he became a mechanic.

Even the local car dealerships send vehicles to him (when they themselves can't fix them).

Anyway he once told me that he has investigated and tried all the additives that are currently available. The only ones he found that did any good were the ones from Lucas. Hope this helps.
