Ive done some searching and found different opinions but I thought I would ask the current members as it seems that most are not around anymore. I was curious what people were using on their dashboard areas and also the small portions on the top of the door panels. Ive got black interior and want to condition the dash but not make it all greasy and cheap looking like armor-all would do. Ive noticed now that mine just seems a little dry looking, and if you run your fingers on it, it turns slightly white/gray like it needs conditioning. Thanks for the input and if you have any pics of your interior all detailed feel free to add!

screw anything that makes it shiny.. that is probably the worst thing you could do to your dash. There is only one single product you need... Spray Way Glass Cleaner. I spray my entire dash, console, gauges, screen, door panels ect with it. Smells great, 100% safe and leaves everything looking brand new. Oh yea... a really good micro fiber is a necessity

Nice interior king! I need to have mine looking like that again. I use most of the stuff from surf city garage, http://www.surfcitygarage.com/shop/prod ... r-cleaners
I haven't used the spot cleaner yet but the other ones work good and don't leave it shiny.

Damp cloth.

My windows are ALL tinted (including my front windshield) so I'm not too worried about UV rays.

Hey guys, this is a great question and one that I can help with. I owned (and worked) for my own detailing company for 8 years and I tried hundreds of products. The best stuff for your interior panels is something that leaves it looking like it just left the factory (meaning no shine), and something with UV protection. Meguiars makes the best stuff I have ever used to clean, protect and leave a pleasant (but very subtle) smell on interior panels.

They have two items that do this:

1) Meguiars Quick Interior Detailer - can be found at most auto stores, comes in a black bottle.
http://www.autodetailingsolutions.net/g13616.html
or
2) Meguiars Detailer line Quick Interior Detailer
http://www.autodetailingsolutions.net/m ... 32-oz.html

Personally, the consumer line (#1) smells better, but does get expensive.

For Leather, hands down Lexol PH Cleaner followed by Lexol Conditioner is the absolute best. Again, no greasy shine, leather looks fresh from the factory.

Hope this helps!

Thanks everyone for your responses and opinions. Brad definitely nailed exactly what I'm looking for and I've always been a fan and supporter of Meguiars products. How long have you worked for them anyways? ;) Ill give that a go and the lexol on the seats like many have also suggested. Thanks again

Brad nailed it.

Glass cleaner has alcohol in it - A LOT OF IT - and should never be used on a dash.

I like Lexol a lot. I've also had great luck with 303 Protectant (it's used in the marine industry). Might be a little much for other parts of the country, but it's great in AZ>

I use Zaino Leather in a Bottle on all my wood, leather and plastic; preserves and doesn't shine. It also works great on plastic penises and vaginas with just the right patina and a wonderful smell. A couple of dabs on the latex condoms really adds to the overall allure. :naughty:

I've heard Leather In A Bottle smells like real leather?

It does, and it's not only great for leather-but the wood trim and plastic do well by it too. Plus, you get to smell your hand all day long. :yesnod

All the Zaino products are awesome, in spite of Antz's juvenile (and failed) attempt to drag the discussion off-topic.

Antz's insanity is often amusing. I'm confident this isn't an alter-ego for NICO - he actually is a crazy man who walks around sniffing his own hand, and picking fights with drive-through signage! :rotfl

Hey, the original poster of this thread FNAWSM has as his signature my above quote (see his original question and signature) about a past motorcycle accident I had on the way from teaching a class on human sexuality to a halfway house of folks with schizophrenia in the 1970's. He obviously seems very interested in the restoration (with no shine) of the plastic dash and the other plastic objects he so originally noted . I am only offering my humble help...

+1 for Zaino Z-10 leather in a bottle for seats. Great smell and leaves the seats with a low level, almost matte sheen

I can vouch for Zaino Z-10 leather cleaner/conditioner. Antzrus is right, ill be smelling my hands for the rest of the day after I apply it! I don't even use an air freshner, like the smell of the Zaino and "New Car/Leather" smell it gives off.
