I'VE BEEN TALKING TO JON ABOUT SELLING ME HIS AUTO RB25DE transmission FOR MY RB25DE SINCE I HAVEN'T GOTTEN ANY REAL OFFERS EXCEPT ONE..... WELL WHAT I'M THINKING IS JUST SLAPPING A STOCK RB20DET TURBO SETUP ON IT AND CALLING IT A DAY (GRANTED SOME FUEL INJECTORS AND TUNING IS IN STORE, BUT PRETTY MUCH LEAVE IT AT THAT). SO THATS A 200HP 10.5 TO 1 COMPRESSION RB25DE WITH 7PSI OF BOOST. SHOULD I OR SHOULD I JUST LEAVE IT STOCK FOR MY DAILY DRIVER? I DUNNO JUST KICKING AROUND ANOTHER IDEA.

I DUNNO.... I KNOW THAT THE SMALLER THE COMPANY THE EASIER IT WILL BE TO SHIP. I JUST DON'T KNOW OF ANY COMPANIES THAT GO YOUR WAY, I USE GI TRUCKING FOR MY AREA BUT THEY DON'T GO TO TN AS FAR AS I KNOW.

Yea, GI is in cahoots (sp) with Roadway from here. THey are partener companies, but they were outragious. It would cost as much as the motor itself.

So what are your other ideas with the car?

WILL THE RB25DE WOULD BE GOING INTO MY DAILY DRIVER BECAUSE THE KA24E IS ABOUT TO TAKE A CRAP ON ME... BUT IF YOU LIKE MY OFFER IN THE EMAIL I JUST SENT... I MAY END UP BUYING THE AUTO FROM JON AND BUILDING AN AUTO RB20DET FOR MY DAILY DRIVER WITH MY RB20DET LONGBLOCK.

See if Eagle Global Logistics ships to and from your areas. I shipped a motor and transmission on a pallet for 140 bucks from Texas to Minnesota :D

I tried Global. They came highly recommended form a local Porche shop, but Global would not ship because you were an individual. Thats why I asked if you had any buddied that worked at a shop. Air Cooled Classics, in my town, offered to recieve it for me, but your end would be the problem. I think that OD will work out.

I like the built RB20DET auto better, but for no particular reason. :pface

I was just kidding. Dont take it the wrong way. Besides, my buddies will **** their pants when I tell them that I have a RB25 block as a coffee table. :D

I am sticking to our plan; you just let me know how the retieval goes.

Now I need to get a 30 block. Btw, I found a few TH400s locally that I might go look at.

Yea, after he explained it to me, it sounded like a better price. Of course I would have to pay to get it here though. I have been pondering though.

A 2.3 could very well be a possibility some day. Maybe my brother will consider one.

Go head and do it. That is what I did. Half the the RB25DETs on this island are NA+T. A lot of japanese people do that here because it is easier and cheaper to do. RB25DEs are a dime a dozen over here in the junkyards. FYI RB25DE will hold up to .9 bar of boost all day long on stock internals.
