what do you guys think is the hardest part of the 5 speed swap.

I just did my swap. I still acutally havent finished it. Just havent plugged all the stuff in. It seems to be the hardest part for me, wiring normally isnt hard to me but for some reason this wiring conversion is kicking my ***. I wont start something untill I know what exactly what Im going to do. Unless I have everything figured out in my head and then I do it and its not what I planned. But I just wanted to know if you guys thought that this was the hardest part of the swap. Maybe if it is you can give me some quick pointers. And no offense but whoever did the rightup that stickied, very vague and ****,.

Well everything is straight foward and I bet its easier than doing a fwd 5 speed swat. I think the hardest part would be cutting or punching out the hole for the clutch. Also check this out if your doing the 5 speed swap. http://srownersclub.com/faq/index.asp

yea. that write up sucked. It said you need, and you need to do, a lot of things that you don't. The wiring write up sucked too. I just traced the lines back from the NSS and jumpered them. Hardest part for me was taking the snap ring off to to take the shifter out while the transmission was on the jack under the car, because I was too lazy to pull it back out and take it off. And the input shaft kept hitting and I couldn't get the shifter in the hole. That or figuring out why my clutch messed up, then I just bypassed that stupid clutch dampening box and voila problem solved. My speedo works fine and everything. So I dont know what those dudes were talking about saying you need to wire something up to get it to work.

The reverse light and ingition sender when parked on neutral are the only things you have to worry about. Lol most cars need this when your swapping from an auto to a manual so dont half a$$ or your going to have a fun time.

not exactly hard to find, I've made it a sticky for both s14 and s13 owners at the top of the 240sx tech boards hoping threads like this wouldn't continue to make me want to end myself.
