what do you guys think about a ct26 on a 240sx good or not

I was wondering if a ct26 turbo off of a supra would be a good choice for a 240sx. I have a jgs manifold and havent gotten a flange yet but could get the turbo pretty cheap. Just wondering what size it would compare to and about what rpm it would boost and what power it would be good too. Thanks for all your help.

i checked one out for the first time the other day at the junkyard, looks pretty good. looks very close to a z31 t3 possibly a little larger

yeah I can get one for pretty cheap. Didnt know though. You can find them on ebay too. I will check into it some more and see.

I have a good used ct26 that is in good condition. was rebuilt not to long ago. came off a friends altama and ran 10 psimake me an offer

what kind of power did he get with it and about where did it spool up at. I may be interested.

sorry I dont have any numbers for you, I know this would nat have any problems at the 325-350 hp range.would take 200. shipped as it is to small for my current build and cant use it

I've seen the CT26 push 18 psi everyday on the MR2 which is a 2.0. SO you should be good for 10psi easy and no lag to speak of at all.

I don't think I would push 18psi on that ct26 or even anything past 13psi. My friend has a mk3 supra and at 13psi the turbo didn't last long before he needed to get a rebuild I think it lasted about 2 months. After he got it rebuilt and upgraded the wheel to a t4 it felt like a different turbo and he was boosting 16psi and it has lasted a year.

I bought a t3/t04e so I am not going to try it. My friend just called me one night and said he could get it for maybe free and I was just wondering how it would do. Later man!
