Hey everybody. My question is self explanatory in the title. Im looking to buy a used 350z, and i found one with under 35,000 miles in mint condition. In other words...perfect. Problem is, its color is brickyard...or simply stated: purple. Exotic cars, such as lambos, can easily pull off this color, but what about the z? If anyone has a brickyard z, please post up some pics for me to see. Prove to me, that as a teenage guy, i can still pick up some chicks in a purple car! Thanks for the help guys and gals. Here are some photos of the Z the guy is selling...

Hey man, any zee is exotic lol, brickyard is an awesome color. The only car i don't agree with on a zee is solar orange, it hurts my eyes and reminds me of a highlighter.

yeah brickyard = purple.... I think some tinted tail lights , gunmetal or black wheels with a polished lip would make that car look more aggressive. A deal, is a deal - get what you can or you'll regret it later.

I think if you tint the windows and throw a different set of rims on it, it would look sick.

that color is called Interlagos Fire That is an awesome color...have you seen it in person.

Honestly, you can pickup any chick in any Z....the color wont make a difference...its the person that is picking them up.

If you are uncomfortable with this color, dont get it.. Chicks can smell insecurites. But this color is awesome...thats my 0.02

black wheels would look mean on this car!!!

buy it!

Actually, its not. Brickyard Red was the 03 specific special color available. Interlagos Fire is specific to 06 only. Brickyard Red is a pretty basic metallic reddish purple color. Interlagos Fire is a colorshifting color that can look like Brickyard Red in some lights and shift all the way to a brownish appearance.

IIRC, the special colors were:

03: Brickyard Red04: Liquid Aluminum05: Ultra Yellow06: Interlagos Fire07: Solar Orange08: Nogaro Red

DECENT to GOOD paint job: 3-6kHaving the 350Z you want with the options you are looking for: Priceless!

Pick this one up, barney-esque paint job be damned and you wont regret it. You can always change the color, but imagine putting in a diff transmission or all the work it would be to put in every funky option you want but didnt come with some other shmoe's car.

why would you buy an auto z? the brickyard color looks good when everything is darkened up (black wheels, blacked out tails, and tint).

A good price is $15000 ish, a great press is $10000, average is probably $17000+......

Yeah, you might want to reconsider the Auto Trans. You most definitely will regret it. Its really not hard to drive a stick. The first stick i owned was an S2000, the second = my Z, and in my opinion the sports cars are the best to learn on because they have no room for play, so when you drive anything else in a stick, its like eating cake.

If you want a color that will get looks and comments everywhere you go, get a white one

AYYYY!!!!! Don't get me wrong, i don't want an auto. I am ONLY looking at sticks....getting a z with an auto is like not getting a$s from a slut...what was the point of buying her to begin with?

I like the brickyars, looks almost black in low light and not a huge PITA like a black car, if you've ever owned a vblack car you knwo what I'm talking aobut here, and red,. yellow, orange, well they seem a bit needy, like you want to call attention to yourself, and thats nto a good thing if you got a heavy right foot, the less obvious the better

LOL!

Actually, the color is more of a maroonish than purple. It's not a very photogeneic color though. I'd recommend seeing it in person before deciding. I considered that color myself at one time.
