What do you guys drive aside from your Qs, Js, 240s, etc.

I have a 95 Q that I drive a good deal but my day to day is an 89 Buick Reatta. 178,000 miles on her and aside from the A/C being out, master cylinder on the fritz, all speakers blown except for one tweeter, broken e-brake cable, cats removed, and a sun roof that opens whenever it wants instead of when asked, she is in tip top shape. The engine, trans, and electricals (cept speakers) are super tight.

What are you guys beating (aside from the obvious:arcadefre if you catch my drift)??

Hey dees, why did you change your posts from "Aside from s14's mom" to Freddy's mom??

Change of heart?

I have 94Qt but my daily driver is an 89 Cadillac Eldorado :yummy

Metallic blue with a white top, white leather interior, dark blue shag carpet 4.5L V8 monster just like the Q (how come my Q makes 278hp and my Caddy makes 185hp  ). She has 150,000 miles and runs pretty good. I still have old ladies walk up to me at the gas station, slap me on the butt and whisper the names of their convalescent homes in my ear. Don't start nothing Hitman :D

i got a 1981 suzuki gs850g with 54000 miles on it. the carbs aren't synchronized so the revs jump around alot, and it almost feels like it has a turbo boost at 4000 rpm. it vibrates really bad at 9000 rpm but what the hell, it only cost 600 bucks.

I have a 92 Toyota Camry with 142,000 miles on it, and it runs like a damn champ. My dad bought it new and I didn't change out the original battery until it had 120,000. I love toyota cars ( not as much as my 240) but they are the most reliable in the world, I don't what anyone says. But thats my sweet little beater.

bodyman , you right , that generation camry was near indesructable , help build that bulletproof rap the camry enjoyed .

and ill agree toyota builds em well , me and a buddy beat the livng tar out of a 85 fourunner every weekend mudding and rock crawling , and that 22re keeps coming back for more , i cant even count how many times its been past 7600rpm. 185,000 miles and just a little tap in the valvetrain that can be lashed out , and that damn clutch must be made of krptonite

HAHAHAHA LMSAO...

Sultan - I had a 1981 Suzuki GS850L. Whata sweet bike - nice runner. My buddies made fun of the "shift indicator" on the gauges...

Buried it into the side of a '77 Regal at 40 mph. When the wounds healed, insurance settlement check bought me a down payment on a house and a VMax with a salvage title (fastest production vehicle on the road for its time). Too much bike for me...

My new beater ('cuz I don't pay for the repairs) is my state-issued 2002 police-package Tahoe 4x4 (replacement for my 2001 Interceptor).

All the same except its a 4x4. Blacked-out grille and bumpers, bucket seats, steelies, big-a$$ domelight that burns your retinas, shotgun mount between the seats, less insulation/soundproofing, big ol' pushbar on the front.

I have a variety of cars to work with.

93 civic hatchback... daily driven2k civic hatchback build for show, also daily driven when I converted my 93 civic to 5spd

89 240sx.. for my wife, but I just rebuild the whole engine and transmission for reliability. Also drifted a couple times for fun

fc3s rx 7 with a v8. bought the engine cradle and dropped a 350 in. Still working on recalibrating the tach and also getting ready for "drift day" here in Washington. Fc3s rx 7 is also going to be my Scca rally car and auto X car next year.

22RE KICKS ***!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I drove my 89 Toy Pickup 2WD extended cab until I bought my 240, and it was still running hard on ALL ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT at 278,000 miles. Just changed fluids and filters and I did the shocks because they were really loose and bugged me. The 22RE burns no oil, smokes none, and runs like a champion every time I crank it up.

Both the 22-R and 22-RE are tried and true engines. They have a lifespan that is just unreal, it's not uncommon for them to go way beyond 200k without needing anything more than basic maintenance. They also have a world of after-market upgrades available for them... anyone who owns a Toyota pickup and builds it up can attest to the fact that parts are fairly cheap, readily available and easy to find! Unfortunately the engine is the only good thing about Toyota pickups past 86. They are good for use as light duty, ON-ROAD trucks.... but they fall apart FAST when subjected to anykind of regular off-road or heavy use. I have several friends who abandoned their Toyota trucks as a build up project for an off-road vehicle... they break running gear parts all the time. Best Toyotas ever were the early model, solid-axle pickups and 4-Runners.
