you get this:

Theres more damage and ill post those pics later.

I was driving thru an intersection yesterday in the left lane of a 4 lane road (2 lanes each way) and this white explorer makes a right turn and instead of staying in the right lane like shes supposed to, she decides shes gonna merge into me instead. She never looked to see if i was there or even signaled her turn and on top of that.. she was on her cell phone. I blared my horn for about 5 secs and slammed on my brakes but it was pretty much pointless, she had already hit me.

When we pulled over she got out and was like "what happend? what did you do?" like it was my fault She barely spoke english, I called the cops and she was faulted for the accident.

The damage is at least $1,000-$1,500 and my passenger door clicks like 3 times when you open and close it cause the fender is messed up.

Good news is no one was there were no injuries and it could have been a lot worse, but thank for letting me vent.

Lotta coupes gettin hit lately! Glad you're okay and the car isn't too bad. She could have taken out your wheel too!

Every time I put another dollar into my car I get more nervous about some dumbass creaming it. I do a lot of this after every uneventful trip to work and back.

Well that sucks. Glad you're alright, though.

It does seem like a lot of people have been getting in accidents lately (at least from the posts on this forum) -- the funny thing is that it has been other peoples' fault for the most part, from what I have read (and what posters will admit). Hopefully that means the average coupe driver is an above average driver!

Hopefully everything works out and you get more $ from insurance than the damage will take to fix!

Then make sure her insurance makes it right. Don't live with anything that isn't perfect. As the innocent party, you don't have to. They can pay for a new rim. And make sure the alignment issue is just a bent part and not because she 'relocated' a chassis mounting point!

We'll see i guess. Last time i was in an accident i was able to get parts for about 10% over cost which really helped with my deductable so im hoping i can do that again cause im already pretty tight on money.

haha thats what i was expecting to see when i first opened this up. sorry though about your car. atleast the cops said it was her fault. my first car a lancer oz rally got totaled by a girl on her cell in a volvo who ran a red light and crashed into the drivers side of my car 3 weeks after i got it and since it was pure RICE (neon lights too haha bought it like that) the cops wrote down that it was somehow not her fault and somehow made it seem that i hit her instead of her hitting me even though the damage clearly shows that she hit me

That drives me nuts, stay in you f'n lane when yo turn..I see it everyday..and cell phones, don;t get me started it should be a minimum 1000 dollar fine talking on the phone while driving, i can;t wait for PA to reinstate this law and enforce it....I'm ok with blutooth, its the same distraction as talking to a passenger but ugh...I actually threw my friends phone out the window as he answered it while driving...

I bet her car wasn't even damaged. That's prolly why she didn't report it to her insurance. Those friggin SUVs are take a beating good. I was in my friend's car when an SUV rear-ended us on the highway. He didn't see the traffic slowing till it was too late (he was also on his cell phone!). Totally destroyed his trunk and bent the frame (thus totaling the car), the SUV had a cracked grill and his steel bumper had a little dent, that was it.

I swear, I think cell phones cause as much accidents as drunk drivers these days. Thankfully they usually don't end in death like drunk driving does, only fender benders or the like....

Yeah i didnt get a chance to see the damage on her car but my girlfriend say it and said it wasnt bad which in itself pissed me off. Im sure another reason as to why it wasnt reported was because.... IT WASNT EVEN HER FLIPPIN CAR! Her last name didnt match the owner and she didnt even have the same address as the owner.

That explortima would never work, you got it on backwards. Explorer is RWD and the Altima is FWD, reverse them for AWD lol

I think i forgot to say that it was appraised about $855 for the repair.

They are writing me a check for almost a grand to cover everything including a rental.

honda pilot railed me. everyone was ok. got a sweet new bumper and tail lights. I think if people are too incompetent to drive and damage your property, the hell with it, make em pay!! oh yea.. cops said it wasn't my fault either.

I was stopped at an intersection for 10 seconds making a left turn. BAM! Ms. Pilot decided she doesn't like breaking anymore.

$4,995.95 in damages. the needed to replace the trunk that became an "accordion."

just wondering.. did the lady that hit you pretend not to speak English then speak pretty good English after the cops came? =] I think that's REALLY dishonest.
