Very interesting. Would this in any way be harmful to the lines/filter/injectors? How much cheaper than an octane additive or race fuel is this?

The most toulene you can add is 20% without it being harmful- which equates to around 100 octane.

For that much trouble just go E85- 116~ octane for 2 bucks a gallon

Good info though, there's just better resources out there

I would only think that this would be an option if you couldn't get your hands on race fuel. It's not cost effective at all. I've been there though, and no ill effects at the 20% mark.

The best thing to do with any antiknock fuel is to use it as a subinjection, aside from race gas. Use denatured alky, toluene with 20% water or meth can all be used with great success. Read the article I wrote on this awhile back.
