Machinist for 28+ years. Four years in general machine work, and 12 years in the automotive and diesel industry. Two years were spent in a racing engine shop. For the last 12 years (in June it will be 13) doing machine work on jet engines. I am lucky to work for one of the largest aircraft engine repair facilities in the US.

Nice, I just took an IT Audit class, it was pretty cool

I'm a grad student at UT Dallas, working on masters in Accounting and eventually plan on taking the CPA exam (bout a year left)

currently working at a small CPA firm doing taxes, bookkeeping, payroll, and pretty much everything but audit which kinda makes me sad

but looking for a better job this summer

If you are really interested in audit I would suggest that you get into a "Big 4" firm Deloitte, E&Y, KMPG or PwC, it's hard work but you learn a lot.

Yeah I'm trying to get out of doing taxes basically. Took my current job as a junior in college because of that awkward need to pay bills.

Now I've interviewed with a few different places, just got to jump on more applications this summer and after I get out of grad school.

My wife starts her audit job at KPMG in August. I expect not to see her again after that for at least a year.

I'm a firefighter both volunteer and military
Also a student. Just graduated assoc, going back this semester to get a bachelors. Fire science assoc, and going for the bachelors in business admin.

Not sure about a full career, but I don't think I'm doing that bad for being 21.
