What do you all think of the new C6?

Just wondering, even though this is a nissan/infiniti forum.Just figured most of you loved most cars, so here somenew spy shots. what do you all think?

The base will have 400+ hpThe Zo6 will have 500+Then there might be a limted run vette made that has over 625, code name blue devil. and have alot of CF and composite parts.

I read they wanted the base C6 to be under 3200lbsand the Zo6 to be below 3000lbs

Very nice, kinda s2000 like in the front. Glad this isnt the glass roof idea they had. Boy that looked dumb.

man it's been a long time since it had stationary lights, about time to have them again if you ask me.

the rear end still seems a tad bit too big looking if you ask me though.

that being said, I'd so get one, as long as it's still gonna be about the same price.

I like the flared front ...kind of hints at a Ferrari from the angle side photo if you ask me..

I like it!!!! looks reall nice and I drove the new vette a few months ago and if this drives the same then I would Love to get one...

Yeah the price will stay about the same, in the 50's for the base and the Zo6 will be in the 60's. the blue devil if it comes out will have a 100k price tag, but i think they are bringing that out just to have the fastest bad *** car for the buck. they say the base model will handel as good as the curent Zo6, so about .98-1.00 g's and up from there. also rumer has it that in 07 GM will come out with a camless engine, it will use auculators and have an ifinant cam timing and profiles. how knows maybe thats the 625+ hp engine there talking about. pretty good numbers from an OHV engine.

I think it looks sweet. If you ask me, it may not look completly original but it does a good job blending sexy characteristics from differnt cars(s2000 viper c5...etc.) Performance sounds amazing too, I hope it doesn't jump in price very much...not that I could afford one anyways:pface

i wish they'd get rid of that bubble looking rear hatch and squared it off some..and made the hatch lines longer too...more like the 240

that and i think the bumper should have a larger hole...

That white picture is arguably not the new Vette, so you may still get popup headlights. That white shell has been rumored to be an extreme body kit for the C5.

I think the new looks are superb. The styling is on par with far more expensive ferraries and the performance per dollar will be even more amazing if they keep the price about the same.

jrc90240sx, camless motors still have quite some time before they will be ready for production cars. Lotus and BMW have been developing the technology for quite sometime and I would expect to see it there before anywhere else.

The new corvette motor on the horizon is a 3 valve per cylinder pushrod with cam phasing (variable valve timing) and the same displacement (i belive). I cant wait to see this motor materialized on a actual corvette

Seen any driving around up there yet Ben? I usually see Saturns driving around before they're released, and occasionally some Nissans that are built at Smyrna...wish I lived that close to the Corvette plant..

I thinkit looks really nice. It does resemble the mazda somewhat. When I see those pictures, I think the car looks small, but maybe that is just because I see the mazda in it. Anyway, I think the looks look nice and the performance should be high as usual.
