Definately. If you got a G to blow, take driving school!nismofly wrote:if you can afford $1000 for a wheel/tire combo theres a lot better choices out there
never go to tire rack for wheels, EVER. the computer thing is so incredibly crappy. "woo hoo 17x7.5 +35 ANYTHING ELSE WILL NOT FIT YOUR CAR, DONT EVEN TRY."skydragoness wrote:^^
Seriously, they're the wrong bolt pattern and probably weight 50lbs a piece. (stock alloys weigh 18lbs if you have them)
Instead of wheelmax.com go to tirerack.com and do a make/model search for wheels, they will have choices w/ the correct bolt pattern and not too shabby as far as weight goes.
More like 25mm spacers.Kenrik wrote:I got these wheels $300+$400 for tires mounted and balanced... that's only $700 they look kinda like what you posted.. Don't go with crome.. they always look to "Bling" These are +40 offset same as stock if you want it more flush you could run 10mm spacers (about $100 more)
Well, for someone who doesn't know or care about wheel sizes, optimum offsets and having their wheels lightweight, I think TireRack is a safer place to buy a wheel than most places. Because at least they show wheels on their 'showroom' program w/ the right bolt pattern and a OEM offset. Yes, they won't be able to fit anything wider than a 215 on any of them. But its meant for laymen and people who just want something for 'show', i.e. a LOT of people (obviously others who are concerned about function over form are not going to use TireRack's showroom as a place to get their wheels).chmercer wrote:

i would suggest discounttiredirect.com for cheap wheels in not so crappy sizes.
"Rim" refers to the outer lip of the wheel's surface/edge. It's just an incorrect use of the word. Some guys in this particular forum are sticklers for correct word usage. But I wouldn't worry too much about it.s1ndicate wrote:As for tires, what do you plan on doing? AutoX, drift? Track or street?
Why are those considered wheels, and not rims??
To me they appear to rims, wheels - tire = rims? Have things changed?
