Thinking of getting these...let me know what you all think. Is there anything negative to getting forged wheels?

The wheels is at the bottom middle row called CANNES

For your truck? The Cannes has 6 lugs.

Are the rivets real, or cosmetic? Perhaps only the center section is forged.

Who wants rims named after cities in France?

Do they come with a baguette rack?

:D

I don't know, but these look like a bad Harley Earl wet dream. They're just a little too fay.

I think the BBS look at lot more functional, well crafted and stronger. Aircraft specification allen bolts seem a better long term solution than rivets. What happens when the chrome falls off from the torsional stresses?

I guess I don't get the mirrored wheel craze.

Fay? Now there's a word I thought I'd never read on an automotive forum! An apt description, however.

You have to get something that compliments the flowing lines of the J but of your examples, you chose the best.

I think the correct spelling is "fey".

But far be it from me to know for sure - I'm a hairy, hetero redneck neanderthal basturd (with chrome wheels). :D

Well, either whimsicallly elvish or apparently irrational, respectively; perhaps rococo or overwrought would have been a better word. Ever look at those Neeper rims? Ever see any on a race car? Didn't think so.

Unlike AZHitman's 1999 Q45 one piece cast rims, these don't jibe with reason, nor good design.

What do I know? Not much.

well, if you insist on 18 or 19 inch wheels, forged 2-piece is the way to go. i am sure they still represent a considerable gain of rotational inertia over the stock wheels. you effectively make your car 1 second worse in every performance aspect (0-60, 1/4 mile, 60-0 braking) with any rims of that magnitude.

i think the sheen would work nice with black car.like the style but,im a fan of rivets going into tires to keep them in place when launching off the line.but then we dont have to worry about that.
