That ecm is sold used on ebay by a US based seller, it's from a US Altima.
My ECM says L4 on the label. What do these represent?
Also the serial number looks. Every US ebay ECM starts with MEC120-180 B1 but mine is MEC120-120 B1. I don't know if there's a physical difference or something than could be reprogrammed at my local dealer with their CONSULT.
I'm asking because I have finally have evidence that my ECM is the reason OBD2 devices always give me a communication error and would never ever read anything.
(For anyone curious, I followed LAN-47 and LAN-100 and the pages around those. I used a few pages from PG to find some connectors. Everything was good, except for connectors 97 and 98 on the ECM those gave a huge resistance reading. The FSM said I should expect 108-132 ohms, I got 1.4 K ohms)
So I'm thinking of buying a used ECM, I just need to make sure I understand everything before I do.
Thanks!
