YES I SEARCH AND DID NOT FIND ANYTHING.

Well long story short, my co-worker rear ended my park sr hatch and we drove 8 hours round trip to pick up the cleanest hatch i can find within the price range last night. We did not know its a Super Hicas car unti we got there and my co-worker see the sticker on the 1/4s. I am happy because it has ABS and LSD and that its a rare S13 (somewhat), but now I am thinking what do I need extra or special when I swap the Sr20det over! I somewhat want to keep HICAS so I have never had one before, so I kinda want to keep HICAS and I am not going to drift it, its going to be my DD!

Every bit of info will be greatly thanks! And if you dont have any info or dont have any nice things to say please keep it to your self!

thanks again

Dude, I will tell you right now...it sucks. Unless you get a SR20 HICAS front clip! Even so, it is a pain in the butt. My brother just bought a HICAS ABS S13 and we started swapping in his SR over Thanksgiving.

The ABS brakes on S13's, if you didn't already know, are near impossible to bleed yourself if you ever need to do that. The entire ABS unit is TOTALLY in the way when you go to swap out or take out your harness, so it has to be unbolted anyway...good luck bleeding it. So we decided to just take it out completely, however, the master cylinder is different as well as the metal hydraulic lines, so you can't just 'remove' the ABS equipment, you've got to throw in a non-ABS master cylinder and lines, or rebend your old ABS ones. Good time to upgrade to a Z32 M/C though. Don't forget your LSD is an ABS rearend, so it has a sensor in there and it is supposedly longer too. His driveshaft looked different than any other S13 driveshaft I've ever seen, the front shaft of it. As long as you stick with that diff and driveshaft together it should be okay though.

Now, for HICAS, unless your SR20 was a HICAS car or if you have a HICAS power steering pump on your SR, you'll have to swap all that crap out too. The HICAS setup has a much larger PS fluid resevoir and feed line to the pump, the high pressure line going from the pump is also different than a non-HICAS and won't bolt up correctly. So, you need the high pressure hose and attached metal line from a non-HICAS car as well as the resevoir and feed lines. Then you can remove the HICAS unit and lines near the battery area, but now you'll also need either a HICAS Eliminator bar (easy) or a non-HICAS rear subframe (hard) to lock the rear suspension in place. There is also a sensor on the steering wheel for the HICAS that is wired into the body harness and can probably be removed once everything else is removed. Otherwise if you want an aftermarket steering wheel, you'll have to hunt one down specifically for a HICAS S13 as they ARE different and hard to find. There may be more to it, but it SUCKS either way unless you've got a HICAS SR20 going in. You 'might' be able to use your KA24 HICAS power steering pump on the SR20, my bro and I didn't bother trying before we decided to do away with it all together.

You won't want HICAS once you start having fun with the car anway, so you should figure it out when everything is out/apart and ditch it then and do it right, same with the brakes. We also removed like 60 lbs of equipment, so there's another reason to ditch that crap and sell it on Ebay.

So after seeing what we had to go through to get his car up and going I won't ever be buying a HICAS ABS S13 for a swap unless I have the same optioned front clip or if it's a deal too good to pass up. Good luck and have fun! When my brother and I started this swap we were AMAZED that there seemed to be barely any info out there on swapping HICAS ABS cars, so hopefully this will give you some warning/advice! I wish that kind of hassle and headache on nobody.

For me it's been the exact opposite, I've seen WAY more non-HICAS non-LSD S13's than not

I have never seen a HICAS Clip or HICAS motor set before. But I got lucky and my friend have one! I pop the hood today, I also notice its going to be a pain in the *** to swap the wire harness!

thanks again for the info!I will need every bit of luck on pulling this off! LOL
