Search, this have been covered.

IMO i like the DOHC better. it looks nicer, it's a newer motor, more parts in the market for the DOHC. i heard the SOHC have lower compression so that means its better when it comes to boosting, but still like the DOHC better regardless. both motor have a lot of torque so its all up to you.

For you situation go w/ sr.......Not!. you can either build up the motor w/ racing rod, piston etc.... or get a running DOHC and have fun.

To make it short get DOHC................

no the teh eff bomb!!!1!!!eleven!! it doesnt.....

sohc was either 8.6:1 OR 9.1:1 depending on year

imho the sohc is a great base for boost, however not many have pushed as hard on it vs the de. nissanfanatic made 534 on stock ish with 11mm studs.

I'd go for a dohc just like I did, I had a blown sohc that I had been TRYING to find second hand parts for a budget turbo build(NO LUCK). SO a decent deal on a dual cam came along, I bought it and went t25 for under 300 bux, so 700 ish for a solid *** motor and boost

Why the emphasis on TO in the title? wouldn't it be better to emphasize NEED?

my .02

My SOHC made 280HP and lots of torque with a straight T3
