what do i need

hey guys. im having some trouble with my s13. it has a s14 1996 ka motor swap. whats going on is, i dont think the s13 ecu is reading the mass air flow and fuel injectors . the mass air flow is the s13 unit and the injectors are the stock s14s which came on the motor. when i start the car it runs for about 5-8 second and then dies out. someone please tell me what else do i need to swap out to make this baby live once again!

s13 and 14 in jectors are the same. If you have the s13 91-94 ka24DE ecu, wire harness, and mass air you should be fine. Check fuel pressure. That 96 ka is obd2 so I think you have to swap the intake manifold from a 91-94 to make it work. I swapped a 95 ob1 ka in my 91 240sx using the 95 intake but it was a hassle. I have a good 91 intake for sale. you should also need a 91-94 throttle body I think and I don't have one of them. You have to use the 91-94 distributor.

i was told to switch out the throttle body for the s13 unit by a friend of mine which was mentioned by s14 2510's . is this because of the obd differences? how much different is the 95 manifold from the 91/93 manifold. also when i finished the conversion i was left with 2 plugs on the harness that dont go anywhere. could these be for emissions that are on the 91/93 manifold? the plugs are on the backside of the motor. one is brown and the other is black.

for your car to function properly, you will need to swap your intake manifold out for an S13 unit. there are a few more sensors on the S14 intake mani that arent on the S13 mani and its an OBDII setup trying to function on an OBDI computer...not gonna happen. .

Throttle body is because of the TPS sensor differance from ob1 to ob2. the 95- up intake is a pita to get to work in a 94 down 240sx. I had to do some custom wiring and make custom hoses to get the 95 intake to work on my 91. I would find a cheap 91 intake. I think the wiring on some plugs is differnt in ob2 than ob1.

i guess ill have to find that old motor that i gave away to my friend for "FREE"
