what diff's fit?

onto the rear subframe of a 510? i just read someone put an r200 into an s13, does that mean you can put a diff that fits the s13 into a 510?

the s13's use a short snout R200 the usual 510 swap is the long snout R200, I know when dealing with Z's the shortsnout still bolts in but you need a longer driveshaft, I am not sure about the dime but I'd guess it's pretty much the same, and if your brave there are people that are aswapping in the R230's

If your not going really big power, a R180 or R160 (either one could be stock depending on year, engine, etc) can be bought preatty new with a facotry LSD from underneath a Subaru.

Which ever one matches the stock 510 one preatty much bolts in - unlike the new vs. old R200.

and oh yeah you can with some mild clearancing get R200 internals into an R190 case

only problem being that the R190 is an extremely rare diff.....so finding a diff in the first place would be hard.....then molesting it to fit a R200 internals?why not just get a R200?

some people dont even believe that a R190 even exists......but a R192 does......

Most S13s have an R200 already. Only a few early ones had the R180, so that was not much od a swap. I have an article on how to put the whole 510 rear end under a 620 PU, so if there is a will, there is a way.Be ready to do major fabrication !

Nismo makes one ~$700-800And its repackaged by precision gear IIRC, for cheaper

Both for R180s and early R200.
