What did you get done on your 720 today?

Post up when you accomplish a task, any task, on your truck. From changing a light bulb to rebuilding the motor.

Today I fixed a misfire caused by a vacuum cap that Houdini'd on me.

I also put in four new headlights, Sylvania Silverstars. I learned that I need new headlight bracket hardware as most of the screws were rusted solid. I had to break them loose with locking pliers and then fold the retaining brackets out of the way when I got two screws out of one side.

Today I thought to check the coolant levels, as the temp. gauge seemed to be reading a bit odd lately (long time to heat up in mornings, then running a bit hot during regular driving). Thought it might be a bad thermostat or something, but ended up being low on coolant. Issue solved!
And also swapped the two windshield wipers - the driver's side had this stupid flat spot that always left a smudge of wiper fluid on the glass. Annoyance solved!

Changed the oil, fuel filter, and spark, plugs, did a check on some vac lines, looks like theres a few to fix! Also found a small leak in my valve gasket oh well it'll be fun to fix... maybe haha

Replaced valve cover gaskets and half moons.

Replaced brake booster and master cylinder.

Fixed stop lamp switch grommet on the brake pedal. (band aid and electrical tape)

Got all my vaccum ports plugged besides the brake booster and distributor advance.

Still need to bleed the brakes and replace rotors, inner/outer bearings, calipers, brake hoses, carb, shocks all the way around, and tires. :

I stared at it parked at my Mom's house. Its getting parked and used on light duty for haulin stuff now. When it gets warm I want to some work on him. I am focusing on the S13's at the moment.

These threads are always awesome and usually pretty helpful.

Put a new driver seat in today. Pulled a grey driver seat out of an Isuzu rodeo, 98 I believe.

It fit in the pre existing holes pretty well. The righ hand side front bracket needs a small amount of bending and I had to put washers with the bolts, but it bolted up within minutes.

I sit a little higher but its better than having springs stabbing me while I drive. The bolts that came out of the Isuzu wouldnt work, so thats why I had to use washers. $31 bones isnt bad for a seat either.

I finally turned the key on mine after a few weeks of dormancy. Replaced the upper and lower ball joints, sway bar bushings, brake calipers and hoses, alternator, and gas tank. Fired up and idled fine. Thought I bled the brakes well but, oops, the pedal goes all the way to the floor now, so back to the drawing board...

Changed the oil. Totally needed it.

Well today I changed the oil,oil filter,fuel filter, spark plugs, air filter, cap and rotor and the engine oil. just a good ol tune up. Love my truck

Got my weber carb installed, got some minor electrical gremlins ironed, and now hunting for new rims and tires.

Got my new rims and tire on. Lowered the truck about an inch.
