I'll start it off.
I tore apart a PS3 that was making a horrible squealing noise. I diagnosed the problem as a fan bearing.
This is what you're greeted with when you first remove the cover:

This is with the power supply, blu-ray drive, wireless and bluetooth chip, and power/eject circuit board removed:

Here is where the fan lives. The metal surrounding the hole is composed of heatsink fins:

Here is the old fan(left) compared to the replacement(right). The replacement is a used fan from a first production run unit. It has 19 blade instead of 15. The 19 blade moves about 10CFM more air while being quieter overall.
