To follow the same topic thread like the M45/35 forums, I think we should have this too, so I'll get this started.

Not all of this one done today, but....

1. Installed LED fogs
2. Installed VLEDs Triton V3 turn signals (took some photos of the install, will be working on a DIY)
3. Installed OEM mudguards
4. Going to work on fitment of a GT Spec front tower strut bar - made for a G37. Plan on painting the brackets closer to car color - Moonlight White and to buff out, polish, and paint the bar - Duplicolor Metalcast blue.

Seems like some pretty good mods but I think they might have a tread like this open already, can't remember though. I'll see can I find it. Post some pics once done pedsemdoc

Didn't get to do anything this weekend on mine. Had to work on wife's QX56, oil change and put on a K&N intake (made me wish we had an intake available).

Today:
1. Cleaned both throttle bodies and as far into the intake manifold as I could reach. (lost an allen head socket adapter into the back splash shield, couldn't reach it with the magnetic grab it tool, so had to jack up car take out a few 10mm bolts on the undercarriage shield and retrieve it so I could finished the cleaning)
2. Started power steering fluid exchange ala the turkey baster
3. Because of #1, had to perform the idle relearning procedure dance - only took me about 5 tries -lol
4. Wire brushed the GT Spec strut bar mounts to prep them for primer and repainting.
5. Took some steel wool to the strut bar to clean up some scuffs.

- Thanks, Ilya!

Bought a cheap scissor jack with pinch weld fitting at Harbor Freight earlier today.
Got front end on ramps and used new jack and OEM scissor jack to get rear end up.

Changed my rear differential fluid this evening. Stupid transfer pump didn't fit the differential fluid bottle - neck/top was too narrow, had to hold it in place with one hand while trying to pump with the other......started leaking diff fluid everywhere.

Got to buy and install a new car battery... A little annoyed, but when I realized it was still the OEM battery from 2011
I felt a better.

Had my amplifier replaced under warranty about a week and a half ago - thought everything was good.
Decided to adjust my audio controls and realized that:

1. BOSE Centerpoint option missing in audio controls
2. Surround effect option missing in audio controls
3. Speed sensitive volume control missing in audio controls

Dawned on me that service people probably installed the wrong amplifier (without the touring package) vs (with the touring package)

Now, I've got to bring it back - they'll probably need to order the correct amplifier (which will probably take a week) and then I'll have to schedule another visit to get it installed. :nono:

gonna be talking to the service manager about this one!!! - lack of attention to detail...very disappointing

Bit of a lazy Friday in my office and warehouse, so I decide to use some left over wood flooring from a tradeshow to line my trunk. Took about 2hrs. Used a band-saw. Might tweak the curves by the wheel wells, but over all I like it!

I think if you stained the wood closer to the interior color it would look almost factory! Nice job!!

Today:
1. Started working on my oil catch cans
2. Wet sanded my GT Spec tower strut bar and put a few new coats of Duplicolor Metalcast Blue on it
3. Need to put engine clear coat enamel on my strut bar supports
4. Washed and waxed her - she was dirty from the recent storms through our area

GTR start button is nice!! Really sets the interior apart.

I am working on swapping out a new replacement start button LEDs to blue - hopefully don't fry the SMD LEDs trying to get them soldered in correctly.

Not today, but yesterday, I turned in my Q70L loaner and picked up my M56X from having the timing chain recall work done.

Just got ride back today -
Issue with dome lights, front and rear map lights not coming on when door opened.

Map light assembly replaced: not fixed
BCM replaced: not fixed
Pin 148 of connector M23 behind dash found to be blackened/burnt causing open circuit, replaced: Problem FIXED!!!

MANY MANY thanks to my service advisor, my tech, and Grubbs Infiniti for sticking with the problem AND solving it.
ALL work done under warranty. Got a Q50 as a loaner (pretty zippy with good acceleration, but felt too small and the second touch screen gets annoying if you want to get to a particular function - I like having a few dedicated buttons - My M37 is a good mix of buttons and screen accessed functions)

Happy Memorial Day everyone.

Completed a couple changes;

Install Aero Bumper - I like how the front side dam is wider, hides the front wheel sticking out a lot from the aggressive front offset.

Went with slightly bigger tires for a little more compliant ride - if thats possible. :chuckle:

Took off the inside door panel on the driver side because I was having a little buzz on some selected tunes - wanted to put some dampening material in there and tighten some things/screws to see if that will fix the problem.

Took me a little while to figure out out how to get the panel off, but when I do the passenger side,
I'm gonna be much faster. :naughty:

Working on a How To/FAQ - have to take a few more pics

I, too, need to pull the door cover off the passenger front door due to certain midrange beats - wonder if a speaker is going bad.....

I also want to find what else rattles on that side, if it's behind the door or is the pax seat or what.

Removed passenger inside door panel - waaaay faster on the removal process. But really took my time and placed a good amount of the dampening material/foam on the panel and door frame.

oh, and made the How To as well

Have to see if the buzzing/rattle is gone - need to blast a song with a little bass to see if my handy work was effective. maybe some Beastie Boys... :bigthumb:
