first off i can not get pics until tonight, because my brother took my cam, so let me try to describe it...

i hit a curb with the back driver wheel, i lifted the car up and took of the wheel. what i found was that the triangle looking thing is bent. with my tire on the car it is at an angle so i can't drive the car until i fix this.

i have a 95 240sx se. please help me with things like what that piece is called, how much would it cost to fix, and if ill would be able to do it myself.

thanxs in advance...

replacing the part shouldnt be too expensive, sounds like one of the control arms or something, you can probobly go aftrmarket on that too if you so choose. unless part of the frame or an attachment point or something else is bent, then its gonna get pricier

that piece attaches to three points. one under the disc plate, and two to the frame of the car. one of the attachment of the frame is not bent but the hood that covers the joint is also cracked.

after taking a look at it for a very long time... it does not seem like it would be hard to do my self. the only part that worries me is the cracked attachment point.

i know its hard to picture with out any pics, thanxs for helping

well it mostly like IS a control arm which isnt hard to replace at all, i had the same incident, hit the curb and the wheel was all wobbly. I pick up an used one from a fellow NICO member for $20 hehe

you might as well get some new bushings too :) now about that attachment point, i cant remember if it bolts or welds on to the frame so either replace it or i'd say get it welded and maybe sleeved on the outside to be sure. dont want that thing breaking

U can get one of a junk yard, just make sure it's not rusted.I don't know for sure how much they'd charge though, my guess is $40 tops for the control arm alone.

Be sure to have a breaker bar and plenty of WD-40 (or similar loosening spray).

a long piece of steel with a socket attachment at the end. Like a huge ratchet w/o the racketing mechanism on it.

same thing happened to my brother. Takes some sweat and elbow grease. After replacing the rear lower control arm (same thing as yours), the camber was still off. I think the knuckle needs to be pulled out a little after loosening all the other control arms.
