What could i use for a quic fix for the egr hole in the manifold???

I put my motor back together and forgot i need to plug the hole in the exhaust mani were the egr once was..what could i use besides welding........cant do the nickel trick btw because its rusted on...would jb weld work if i packed some in the hole?? plz let me kno!!! thanks

search for related threads. There was a part number for a dealer available EGR plug.

unscrew the egr tube, then stick 2 nickels in the hole. screw the tube back in. viola. wait, maybe it is pennies, i cant remember. mess around with it, you will get it

well the problem is i cant unscrew the pipe, its some what striped and rusted on lol and i cant get the thing off to just weld it but yea i found my dads impact wrench

I too had trouble with that pipe in the past. You can get a plumbers red pipe wrench and get the bugger free that way. Use some pb blaster on the threads and let it soak in before doing the pipe wrench, it'll make your life easier and wear some knuckle protecting gloves...

haha ive been using pb blaster on every bolt on my car..stuffs the best but yea man ill try the wrench..thanks
