Car is going to be operating at around 50-100 deg f street/ track car

Is there any type of racing coolant people use?

Or should i just dump distilled water in there?

Thanks

Water is better at cooling then antifreeze, or so ive heard. If there is not chance of cold weather you can just use distilled water. I believe like a drop of dawn in the radiator helps.

if your living in chicago I would not use water at all!! unless you want to change your freeze plugs every time the weather gets cold. there is this stuff called "water wetter" it is sold at almost any auto parts store you just drop it in the radiator and your good to go. I have a cooling panel on my 91 s13 and it has helped a lot when im on the freeway.

'Water wetter" and distilled water is a good choice. Antifreeze/coolant has lubricants in them, so pure water would fry your water pump bearings.

Iron or aluminum block?

Aluminum (SR) and you're fine running water all day

Iron and you should mix some antifreeze in so the coolant passages don't rust up.

if it was just 100% track car then ide use waterwetter and distilled water but since it will see the public streets ide use normal antifreeze mabey just a bit more deluted then a 50/50 mix

"water wetter" you can pick it up at a partshouse, coolant/distilled water in a 50/50 or whatever ratio suits your climate.

omg I came from other forums where people are more intelligent and this question is hysterical.

This question has many answers. Like if the weather gets below 32 degrees where you live you have to use antfreeze because you will crack your block.

But if its a track car, flush it out with distilled water then drain and then fill with distilled water and water wetter so that your block doesn't rust.

lol if the question was so unintelligent, why did you bother to respond after you critisized it?who told you this information? when did you learn it? did you read it on a board? did your father or brother teach you?....wait...no one cares. the OP asked a question because he didnt know the answer, he received good answers. done deal.your not on a leash are you? then go back to the other forums that are full of smarter members and that are full of hysterics.or you could stay and realize, that nico is awesome.
