What component am I looking at?

Hi everyone, i'm a newbie. Also a newbie to forums so I dont know how to upload a picture. I have a question...

Check out the 2012 Nissan Pathfinder Engine View here:

Near the rear of the engine, to the right of the V6 4.0 logo is a component with a cable connected to it. The end of the cable has a red connector. Its the only thing red in that vicinity. It seems to be some type of coolant sensor because there are coolant hoses connected to it.

Can anyone identify the component in question?

i believe that is the fuel pump you are looking at and the coolant lines are not actually connected to that

Hi Mark, thank you for your reply. Unfortunetly this is not the fuel pump. I know this because the particular component in question was removed from my father-in-law's 2005 Pathfinder. Basically it was bypassed.
