Im having trouble choosing a color for my car:help . Ive been trying to decide this since before the begining of my 240sx project. Help me out guys. This would be my first car that I would be getting painted. Maybe you guys could list some paint codes.

Vehicle. 1991 240sx coupe

Color(right now). Factory Gunmetal. This color isnt bad at all but needs to be repainted. The guy did a cheap macco job.

Also should I get the rims painted?

My overall choice right now is to get a widebody kit with a matched up BN Sports kit. Get some Work wheels(a little exspensive but I like them) And painting the car Triple White Diamond. Close to the white on the Escalade.

Let me know what you guys think......:uzi or else

hmmm........black is always a favorite of mine, or maybe go with a deeper gunmetal with a peral on top? thatd be a little showy for me, im more of a sleeper type of person. SKYLINE BLUE....one of the only bright paint jobs i'd roll

Man that escalade white color is damn nice.

Silent Drifter: I dont know much about car painting... but whats primer all about? How much does it cost to get your car primered? Isn't that the most expensive thing to do since all of the sanding must be done? Im asking because I'd love to have my car primered... and not red anymore.

I'd go with the Charcoal Gray (something like that....whatever the factory gunmetal color was) thought it looked sweet...

wheels? I dunno, something black or silver...

Two tone - silver over dark gunmetal. Coupes offered 2 tone schemes.

Damb everyone and there grandma has a silver car. I like the idea of the gunmetal grey with pearl. That sounds pretty good. I was also thinking of that new Dark purple the 350z comes in. I saw it today at the Mall. It was pretty sweet

Also that primer look is cool. I was thinking about that but It wont last long without a clear coat. But that will turn it into a base color. I know that the paint shop uses a flattener for a basic black and it comes out like a black suede. Pretty sweet I saw it on a sample.

I think im going to stick with Triple white diamond. The girls love it. I went out this weekend and asked a couple of girls. It was my new pickup line. It worked pretty good. You guys should try it. It kind of turns women on when yoou let them have an opinoin on your car. they never get the chance to because we dont F@#%en care to be Honest, but it works

I've always been partial to the Silvia/Skyline factory blue paint. Very nice looking tone. Not sure if its the same color on both cars.?

well, my plans are a bright white or a deep gunmetal with bright red volk gt-c's. for some reason this has always appealed to me. let the flaming begin.

part of me wants to question exactly how realistic your plans are for your car and the practicality of it all...have you ever thought this through? and if so and you can in fact afford it, how about u pay NICO's bills for the next 12 months?

Wow even on NICO we have haters. Thats O.K. I new it was going to happen sooner or later.

Since your interested and I love that you spent time coming to my thread. I will answer your questions.

I do plan on this all. Sooner then most people get things done. I do have a job and a budget. This project has been an idea for a while now. As my car is getting an sr20det swap right now the exterior can not be messed with. Don worry though.

INSTEAD OF SPENDING MY MONEY ON A DOWNPAYMENT OR A MONTHLY PAYMENT I HAVE CHOSEN TO USE MY CAR MONEY TO PUT A CAR TOGETHER, STEP BY STEP.

MOST OF MY FRIEND HAVE NICE CARS. THERE ONLY DOWN FALL IS THAT THEY ACTUALLY DONT OWN THE CAR YET. THEY ARE STILL PAYING FOR IT, BUT YET SPENDING EXTRA MONEY ON THE CAR FOR THERE TASTE. THATS NOT THE WAY I DOTHINGS.

PLEASE DONT OFFENDED BY THIS BECAUSE THERE ARE PROBABLY A LOT OF PEOPLE DOING THAT ON HEAR.

WELL GOOD LOOK IN YOU FUTURE.
