I'm just trying to get some opinions on what people like on a 240sx. When I get mine fixed I am really really thinking about getting it painted a different color, since I have to get a hood, fender, and front bumper painted anyway. I know I want a darker color; blue, black, etc. What do you guys think? I think I might like a nice black with some sort of a clearcoat thing done, like a pearly clearcoat or something? Give me opinions!

I'd say go jet black with a slight silver or metallic grey flake clear coat.

What colour is your interior? I'm also contemplating on a new paint job, but changing the colour is too expensive. My car is already a bluey purplish colour with a metalic blue flake. I'm probably going to make it a darker blue with a hint of purple with a lighter metalic blue flake.

I'm always a fan of a deep, deep blue with a small hint of purple. Something that might be confused for black under the wrong light, but in light is a rich, deep blue. mmm... blue

I say go with what your budget will allow. If you can afford a color change then do it. If not you can always paint it the same color but in a different shade. Thats what I did in red.

I dont know about that pink. Did you guys see the pink 240 in super street? I would deffinitely drive the yashio cars if they were given to me. There is a pink civic near me. They guy said that he did it b/c he liked the way it looked on the yashio s15. I pains me just to look at it. The worst thing is that he thinks its cool.

If I hadnt gone with Lamborghini Gigrio Grey metalic, I would have gotten a rich dark blue with red pearl mixed in. Most of the time it will have a nice shiney look to the dark blue, but in good light it would look phenominal, kinda purplish but in a good way. Pearl is such a sweet invention, if you dont like my idea, try playing around with different colors. But it will be cheaper if you stay with the same base color.

You are all as.ses. I dont want to keep the same color, but I will probably end up doing so. I GOOD paint job is pretty pricey, and I have quite a few dings that would need to be pulled. Just alot of small dents that aren't hardly noticeable, but are at the correct angle. I really like the idea's of dark blues with some color pearl clear coat. I will contemplate on these. Thanks guys.

My vote goes to either Daytona Blue or that Sunset Orange color of the new 350Zs. They are wuite pimp. I also like that blue that is on the PT Cruisers (it looks very simiar to the Daytona Blue).

Yea I also like the that PT Cruiser blue. I dont know about the Sunset Orange on the 240 though. Hey OneFastStanza in your sig it says,"Only girls with a ba-donk-a-donk butt need apply!" Its supposed to be ba-doon-ka-doonk. I hear people say it like that so many times instead like it was said in Fatty Girl. I think Kieth Murray made that word up, but if it was pronounced as ba-donk-a-donk then ignore what I said.

pearl black tribal flames on a very dark metallic clearcoat blue (like the bmw midnight blue or the dark blue on c5s ), you need motor mods before you do this tho , dont wanna be too ricey

oops my bad , i was thinking of my det mini project

dont think flames would look good on a 240 , but i could be wrong

No, I think you're 100% correct....flames on a 240 would be bad news.
