I am getting my Sage Green 98Q painted. Suggestions on colors please. I've got the 2-tone cream and light tan interior. I am leaning towards Ivory Pearl or some type of Burgundy - like the new Cadillac Escalade. The reason, in case anyone is wondering, is that my front bumper has some holes in it - from the previous owner having a front license plate which I absolutely hate and my wife backed into another car adn the rear bumper is "spider-web" cracked halfway across the bumper - What do you guys think ?

Stay stock color unless you want it to look like a repaint.

I agree with Maxnix, stay with the original color so it doesn't look like a "Earl Schieb $299" repaint, assuming you're not going to drop the BIG cash and have them dissmantle to do a full body paint job. That could easliy run you more tha $7,000 or $8,000.

You might be able to get the guy to mix the factory color a shade lighter or darker for a little change. Just a thought.

I would stay as close to the factory color as you can. The first thing some buyers look for is a repaint...makes me think wreck repair and I buy used cars all the time. It's impossible to hide if you veer too far from OEM. Maybe a little more pearl wouldn't be so noticeable and would look great to boot. If resale isn't that important to you or you plan to keep it for many years, the added value of a factory paint match goes down as long as the car still looks great.

Thanks for the idea - I'm gonna have them add a little pearlto the paint...maybe tell him to mix it a shade lighter. It's gonna be a professional job - I know the guy who owns the body / paint shop. I'll post pictures when it is done. Thanks again...
