I have a silver coupe with hyperblack wheels. One of my friends told me I should paint the calipers yellow, another told me red. I'm thinking black just wanted to get your opinions

I also have a radiant silver coupe. When I go to the Nissan dealer, they orange brembo brakes look really nice.

I have been thinking Orange would be awesome. Not like a plain orange but kind of a dark orange like the brembo kit would look really nice.

im actually mad that my caliper paint has already began to chip and break off.. even after i sanded them down.. and prepped them like a pro...

i think when i have time im just going to paint them silver... to go back to a stockish color

but if i could do it again.. i would say red calipers.. especially on a silver car looks great

Or use an epoxy based paint like the G2 kit.

G2 FTW! Got it on mine (in blue) for about 9 months now with no chipping issues. I haven't heard a single complaint on here about it chipping either.

G2 is a brand that makes epoxy based paint. You use a paintbrush to apply it to your calipers. The kit includes cleaning fluid. The instructions recommend using steel wool to clean the calipers as well.

Pretty much what I did in a nutshell was: take off wheels, clean calipers, tape off everything that I didn't want to get paint on like brake pads and rotors, apply 2 coats, let dry, put wheels back, and enjoy!

marisha, do you have any pics of your painted calipers? i've seen red everywhere but haven't seen any blue. I want to do blue since i have a set of blue tuner lugs and my engine bay will be painted with blue accents.

Any paint but stock looks tacky on stock calipers, IMO.

but our stock calipers aren't painted any color in the first place.. i'd agree though that our calipers are pretty tiny and look kinda funny painted, but i'd rather have them painted than not, i think they look better.

The stock calipers are silver and when the rust starts coming through its ugly as hell, expecially with open wheels. Any color (almost) is better than rust!
