Okay need some feed back. I want to paint my brake calipers to look good with my Qx4 that is this begie color...my wheels are not stock so you will see the calipers. Was wanting any feed back on a good color to go with. I just think that Red is to flashy and dosen't match my car's color at all...and yellow is just way to loud also....so let me know. I was thinking gold?

Here is pic of my car (not mine but looks exactly the same)

I would do black or silver... I'm not a fan of bright colored parts - bright cheesy colors wouldn't match the QX4's refined and subtle look.... Clean QX4 by the way. I'm considering painting mine a similar color.

All of the body, interior, and suspension highlights on my Toyota 4x4 in college were purple and I'm not a - wait, let me check - yup, I'm not a girl.In all seriousness, I think matching the body color would be the coolest look. It may not be glaringly obvious, but it would look better than rust and would be "subtle and refined." I think that the better the paint job was, the better it would stand out.

Yea I did mine silver last year...so may just go that route....thanks for all the input though...it would look sweet to match it to the car but not sure where to get the same color....so may be easier to do silver.

Any sugesstion son paint I have been seeing G2 recomended but Dupli Color would be good too....don't need 900 degree paint...thing is I have calipers up front and drums in back ( I know lame) so not sure the G2 would be enough paint so yea...i think I used tow cans of paint last year, because I did like 4 coats.

go with the dupicolor factory match paint, they are pretty close, you might want to sand down and power wash every thing first, the color i go with is black but body color is just as good

I'd definately recommend taking the calipers completely off and sanding the casting marks off of the front calipers and give them a good cleaning with Brakleen or other brake cleaner (its a great time to check the brake pads and rotors for replacement too). I have a black 05' Pathfinder and I painted mine red, looks good IMHO but I agree red wouldn't look too good on yours. That goldish color on the Brembo upgraded brakes on the 350Z would probably look good. Silver or black would be a safe bet, maybe pick up some Infiniti brake caliper decals off of Ebay to set it off. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...63025

I've painted several sets of calipers and I HIGHLY recommend using the VHT caliper spray paint and put about 3-4 coats of VHT clear caliper paint on it. I've used the Duplicolor and the brush on epoxy caliper paint in the past and wasn't near as pleased witht he results I got from the VHT paint.

Plan on not using your vehicle for a day or two to let the paint cure. Mine took almost two days to finally cure. Granted I put about 4 coats of red and 3 coats of clear and the humidity of South FL didn't help the curing process.

+1... if they are stock calipers just leave them alone or paint them a sensible color

In my opinion yellow, red, blue, STOCK calipers just look cheesy I have gold calipers on my Maxima :D but they are some huge AP Racing brakes so its all good...
