What color looks best?

What color looks great on a 95 240? The color I have now is gold/burgandy, but the body has a lot of scratches and dents so I think Im just gonna get a new paint job done. I was thinking blue, like on the Skyline R34's. Or black with dark, dark tinted windows would look sweet. Any recomendations?

Yeah, the gold is very nice and looks like new, only thing is is that the body has a ton of scratches like on the bumper, front end and passenger side. Do you know how much new paint jobs run? And where are you at in Louisville, Im at St. Matthews.

Keep in mind that a full color change is BIG $$ (if you do it right and pull all the glass, rubber, and interior, do the inner door jambs, inside the hatch, under the hood, etc.) You're talking well over a G to get it done right.

If you don't do it right it'll look like crap and you'll hate yourself for doing it. Keep the color - it's nice! Plus it'll be much cheaper...

Black goes with everything, best color in the world. Just looks like crap when its dirty, but looks better than anything else when its cleaned and waxed.

my '95 is blue emerald. i love it. when i get mine repainted, it'll be that color again becase 1) its easier to repaint a car the same color, as AZhitman said, 2) the color looks bad as.s, 3) my car has alot of scratches and dings, expecially on the front end, so i need a new paint job anyway. but i would say go for the same color.

I like a good silver-gray myself. Hides the dhirt well and that kind of color is real popular right now. Bit I aggree with Ben, I like that "blue-emerald" of the s-14s.

emerald blue is a color with variations in green, blue, and purple. the base color is green, and depending on light and angle, you can see blue or purple. its a nice color, but its expensive as hell i heard. go the to forums for 240's and its in the general chat area

i really really really need to get my car painted again, and get all the dings and stuff out. if i dont' get the whole car, i need to AT LEAST get the front end re-painted. its so screwed up. i think the people before me took the car on the interstate alot, cause the front end has chips EVERYWHERE. they are tiny, but there are so many of them you can't count. but yea i've heard that paint it really expensive. any chromillusion paint is. but if you got the money, its the best looking paint out there IMO.

Today was the first day that I actually got my car and have been driving it a ton. I love it! It handles soooo well and was some good kick too. Im so glad I got this car! And I was looking at the paint job, its really in great shape, just some dings here and there, mostly on the bumper. I think Im just gonna get it repainted the same color. Or I could get my parents to pay for half of it for X-mas and get a dark blue or black. I will let you guys know what happens.

mine did, but now looks like this

its a dark grey, I love it! Black is an OE color, if you are goin to spend major coin for a paint job, why not get a unique color? I was gonna get blue, what color is your interior? That made my decision easy when considering this.

I really need to paint mine. I have huge dents, rust on the hatch where i took the wing off, and someone keyed the car . all before i bought it. I am doing the body work , preping it and primer, and a body shop is going to paint it.

remember, the interior HAS to match the exterior color, or else your car will look like some sorta frankenstein job. I'm a big fan of interiors, don't mean to toot my own whistle, but here's a current pic -

blue will go with grey. Just about any color will go with grey, its all a personal preference I suppose. So long as your interior is burgndy or tan or something, those colors you gotta be picky about.

i want to paint my car charcoal grey/metallic, and my car is currently white with/scratches, light rust on fender well, i have to wait till next summer when i can earn enough dough to paint my car. Either i will keep it white (which will ultimately look the best and be more economical) or i can spend more cash to have it charcoal grey and have it done right.

LOL, yeah, I'm busted, its a fancy shmancy air freshener, added 40HP and it can also be used as a radar detector (I've actually gotten away with that one!)

BTW, white looks good on the s13, and its waaaay easier to keep clean.

cookdaddy, no offense, but I despised that gold color with all my heart, felt it suited a 93 Corolla, NOT an s14. Much more happy now, but to each their own, its all a matter of personal tastes.
