ok so i have a stock black kouki im about to dump on some coilovers but i ran into a problem with some wheels i bought, i bought a set of hp evos 18x9, one wheel was a lil bent and the rest were a lil bit curb rashed, i was like ok no big deal, i'll pay to get them looking new again. so anyways, i went ahead and had them mediablasted but they used to big of media to do it and now im stuck with the bare medal wheels, they look like an intake manifold, no joke, a guy was going to fix them and polish them back out for 300$ but then he saw them and it would take too long so he told me it would cost more, now heres my problem, i dont know if i should pay the money.....like 500 just to polish out the lips again and paint the faces gold and powder coat the back of the wheels black or something. or should i do some other random crap..........by random crap i mean

red wheel, black facelime green wheelcrap like that

i need suggestions on what i should do with my wheels, give me color suggestions or if you think i should polish out the lips and paint the faces gold like the original plan.......try to provide pictures with your ideas please

heres what the wheels look like original, but now they are raw metal and look like a intake manifold

im trying to avoid polished anything, polishing would cost me like 500 and i paid like 400 for the wheels, a lil bit more and i could have bought the wheels with tires :[

if im gonna polish the lips out again i'll probably paint the faces gold

ehh i think its gonna be hard to pull off two colors with that style of wheel without looking cheap. I would say all white or a silver / gunmetal.

agreeded. paint em gun metal or just a different silver if you dont want to pay to polish them. Any bronze or gold imo. Maybe if it was a different style wheel i would say metallic red, but it wont look good on forks.

I say spray the insides whatever you want, then for the lip find a nice silver spraypaint. It's not going to be polished, but it will look more natural.

Have you seen matt's car? The new paint is so sexy.

I'm with Dittoz7. Why can't you polish them yourself?

The polished aluminum would be a perfect fit on the stock black.

You can buy metal polish for a few dollars and just spend some time and elbow grease making them shine.

Polishing those wheels will take you all year. Just polish the lips and powder coat the wheel face (And not black, so played out ).

people people people, calm down, im not polishing out all of the wheels, when i said polish out i ment the lip only, but yeah i forgot to update, i gave the wheels to some kid my buddy knows that has been polishing things since he was little, mostly boat parts and what not but it still applies, i offered him 100$ to polish out the lips and he said ok, a shop was gonna charge me $500. hooray for poor high school kids
