I just bought my first 240 yesterday. The previous owner has it slammed and I need to raise it up I was planning on doing it later this week when I have time and I wanted to raise the car up an inch or two but I don't know how to adjust the coils or what tools I need. The Coilovers are KTS sc damening system(exactly what it says on the side). Can someone tell me what tools I need, and how to raise these up?

on their web site i saw a pic. it looks like they take a normal spanner wrench. i have heard of people using channel locks and a hammer and screw driver also.

I'm new to coilovers, I used to only have adjustable shocks and springs on my last car. How do they adjust? And can you do it with them on the car. Also how do I measure how far up I'm putting them, so they are all even and I don't raise them up too much or too little?

the fronts you will have the part that mounts to the spindle with the two holes, thats where you adjust the height from. you lower the bottom collar that locks it in and then if possible twist the whole strut assembly upwards, lowering the mounting point and raising the car, do it the same for each side to be the same height, lock it again with the collars, you dont need a spanner wrench but its helpful. use a flathead and a hammer sometimes to get it lose should spin by hand

the back, first check to see that the coil is seated all the way at the top (that its not drooped) if it is then you loosen the bottom collar that connects to the purch and then spin the whole strut assembly higher to raise it, got to roughly estimate where you start from and where you stop at to make sure its the same as the front, then lock it back in place, if the top spring is seated really hard then it may be hard to spinn the assembly so just loosen the top collar that holds in the spring till you can spin it, anotehr way is to unbolt it from the upright 19mm i think, then spin the bottom purch down to raise it, same thing, make sure everything is snug and locked in place

good luck, remember its going to mess you alignment up raising it

+1 for the pics

Would you be able to tell if you are running the regular KTS setup?? not the lows or ultra lows?
